During the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, star forward LeBron James and longtime NBA personality Stephen A Smith seemed to get into a heated discussion. Many wondered what the discussion was about but some started to speculate that it involved James’ son Bronny.
Smith has been critical of Bronny since the Lakers drafted him and it seems that LeBron hasn’t taken kindly to it. Normally, LeBron has taken the high road when it comes to trolls and other outside noise but with Bronny, he has decided to step in.
While appearing on the ESPN show First Take, Smith opened up about the situation, confirming that it had to do with Bronny.
“That was LeBron James coming up to me, unexpectedly I might add, to confront me about making sure I mind what I say about his son. I can’t repeat the words because they ain’t suited for FCC airwaves. That’s what he was doing. Now, I thought long and hard about this over the last few hours because I had no intention of talking about this at all and the reason why is because it was a one-on-one, I wouldn’t say conversation but it was a one-on-one confrontation…that wasn’t a basketball player confronting me, that was a parent, that was a father. And I can’t sit here and be angry or feel slighted by LeBron James in any way.”
